
Derya is a Swiss, French, and Turkish national working
as a legal administrator, legal consultant, and lecturer. She holds both an MLaw and an LL.M. from the University of Lausanne, with a specialization in International Commercial Law and European Union Law.
Since 2017, she has been actively involved with the International Alliance of Women, where she holds multiple key roles. She serves as the main representative to UNCTAD, an alternate representative to the United Nations, Head of the Constitution Committee and Ethics Committee, member of many other committees, among other responsibilities.
Earlier in her career, she worked with UNEP and the ILO within the United Nations system. Through her professional and organizational work, she remains strongly committed to advancing women’s rights worldwide. She is a tennis passionate and has a multicultural personality.
