Carolyn Handschin-Moser

Carolyn Handschin is President of the NGO Committee on the Status of Women in Geneva (www.ngocsw-geneva.ch/), and the Director of the United Nations’ Offices for Women’s Federation for World Peace International (www.wfwp.org). She has led the advocacy team at the United Nations in Geneva for 26 years, focusing on peace and human rights, education and empowerment of women and youth, their involvement in community and nation-building – and protection of the family.

As International Vice President for WFWPI until 2022, she was also engaged for local program development throughout the 22 National Chapters in Europe. She has guided many young women and men in deeper knowledge and experience in human rights issues and diplomacy through leadership training programs during the Human Rights Councils. She is often invited to speak at conferences, including at government and European institutions on the cross-cutting issues of women, future leadership, peace and sustainable development.
