Human Rights Council 25th Session: Women’s Rights Caucus on Child, Early and Forced Marriage on 6 March 2014

NGO CSW Geneva hosted a Women’s Rights Caucus during the UN Human Rights Council 25th Session that focussed on Child, Early and Forced Marriage.

Speakers:

  • Mirriam Michelo, survivor of child marriage, young woman from the YWCA of Zambia.
  • Adwoa Kufuor, Human Rights Officer at the Women’s Rights and Gender Division, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

UN Women Executive Director meets with NGO CSW Geneva members – 15 January 2014

After concluding a two-day conference in Geneva to support women’s participation and voice in the Syrian peace process, and before flying off to London for another pressing engagement, UN Women Executive Director, Ms. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, met with members of NGO CSW Geneva on 15 January for a first encounter and open dialogue.
