The NGO CSW Geneva Working Group on Poverty seeks to enhance the cooperation of the members of NGO CSW Geneva on SDG # 1 “No Poverty”. Sustainable Development Goal 1, established by the United Nations in 2015, calls for the end of poverty in all forms. The Working Group is strengthening relations to the NGO ATD Fourth World and to the Working Group the on the Right to Development which meets annually in May in Geneva.
There are 3 active subgroups: Women and Pensions, Women and Migration and Mothers Solo.
On 1 July, during the 62nd Session of the Human Rights Council, the Women and Pensions subgroup hosted a side event on Advancing Women’s Financial Health and Pension Security. The speakers offered valuable and thought‑provoking insights, and members of the audience contributed important reflections that enriched the discussion.
